As a therapist, Jen specializes in working with adolescents and adults. Her clinical interests include anxiety-based disorders such as OCD, GAD, social anxiety, panic disorder and phobias. Jen also has a passion for helping individuals that are struggling with emotional pain, self-esteem issues or complex life transitions.

Jen’s approach to therapy is relational and strengths-based, focusing on building a strong therapeutic alliance. She believes that the relationship between therapist and client is a key catalyst for healing, so she works collaboratively with clients to understand their unique challenges and strengths. Jen prefers a direct, transparent approach, helping clients address issues in a practical and straightforward way while also fostering self-awareness and personal growth. Jen has training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Interpersonal Neurobiology (IPNB), as well as Psychoanalytic theory.

Jen earned her Bachelor of Arts from Duke University and her Master of Social Work from the University of Texas at Austin. She has honed her expertise through extensive experience in various private practice settings where she worked with a diverse range of clients facing anxiety, trauma and life transitions. Jen is a licensed clinical social worker in the State of Texas (#108693).

When Jen isn’t working with clients, she enjoys exploring all that Austin has to offer. She loves trying new restaurants, going to concerts, and being outside (when it’s less than 100 degrees.) However, she’s a New York foodie at heart and desperately misses the pizza and bagels.
