Jhana specializes in working with adults and has a special passion for working with trauma survivors, fellow Veterans, first responders, and women of color. Her clinical interests include OCD, trauma, social anxiety, generalized anxiety, panic disorder, perfectionism, obsessive compulsive personality disorder, adult ADHD, and compassion fatigue.

  • Jhana’s therapeutic approach empowers clients by encouraging them to identify their values, nonjudgmentally acknowledge their emotions and thought responses, and take meaningful action to align with their goals. She strongly emphasizes self-compassion and self-efficacy through the use of practical skills, mindfulness, and humor. Jhana has training in and experience providing Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Radically Open Dialectical Behavior Therapy (RO DBT), a transdiagnostic evidence-based therapy that addresses issues with overcontrol and rigidity. She uses an integrative approach to target the maladaptive beliefs and behaviors that leave clients feeling immobilized or distressed.

  • Jhana is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas (76722). She earned a Bachelor of Arts from the Pennsylvania State University and a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Regent University. Jhana completed her clinical practicum at the Center for Sexual Assault Survivors and her clinical internship at Virginia Beach Partial Hospitalization Program. She has worked in community mental health settings as a case manager, therapist, and team lead. She also spent several years leading trauma, RO DBT, process, and dual diagnoses groups at an intensive outpatient program. Jhana is a Veteran, a Certified Compassion Fatigue Professional, and a Mental Health First Aid trainer.

  • In her free time, Jhana enjoys being outdoors, dancing, hiking, going on adventures with her son, crafting, watching 90s sitcoms, and spending time with family and friends.
