Tara (she/her) has experience working with individuals across the lifespan. Her primary clinical interests include treating anxiety, depression, panic attacks, suicidality, grief, and trauma. Tara also enjoys working with clients navigating self-esteem, boundaries, spiritual issues, neurodivergence, and relationship concerns.

Tara enjoys holding space for growth and healing through a warm, relational framework. She utilizes a strengths-based, solution-focused perspective that meets the client where they are at, with openness and curiosity. Whether the client is overcoming trauma; experiencing anxiety or depression; navigating relationships or life transitions; or exploring healing through spirituality, Tara offers a safe and non-judgmental space, with the goal of co-creating a path to sustainable solutions and growth alongside the client. Tara has been trained in and utilizes evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Brief Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Suicide Prevention, Motivational Interviewing (MI), Solution-Focused Therapy (SF), Grief Therapy, and Mindfulness.

Tara earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from the University of Washington and a Master’s of Social Work degree from the University of South Carolina. She has worked with individuals of all ages, to include working in hospice with adults dealing with grief, loss, anxiety and depression; medical social work, with adults experiencing suicidality, substance misuse, and mental health concerns; children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder; as well as children and adolescents experiencing depression, grief, anxiety, and trauma. Tara has been trained in and utilizes evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Brief Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Suicide Prevention, Motivational Interviewing (MI), Solution-Focused Therapy (SF), Grief Therapy, and Mindfulness. Tara is a licensed clinical social worker in the state of Texas (License #104933).

In her free time, Tara enjoys spending time with her two teenage sons, exploring nature, writing, and taking dance classes.
